There are many people who consider themselves "Christian" and who believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God. Unfortunately, many of these Christians have not sincerely read the Bible (or ignore many of the passages for whatever reason). There are others who may "wonder" about certain passages because they do not understand them or have not been taught about them.

We acknowledge that the Bible is a sacred work that proves to the world that Jesus lived and IS the Christ. Nothing on this site is intended to change that belief nor to try to cause anyone to reject Jesus Christ.

We invite all readers to think about what they believe, what they have been taught, and then seek a religion that matches what the Bible says as closely as possible. Is it the truth and does it makes sense? You may be surprised that much of what you have been taught is not what the Bible says and/or doesn't make sense. ALL "truth" makes sense and is easy to understand and describe. God is not the author of confusion. There is only ONE truth, conflicting beliefs cannot be all be true (only one can).

In all quoted passages we use the "King James Version." We realize that there are many other translations but believe that many of them were translated by humans with an agenda. Otherwise all translations would be the same. Many people look around to find the version of the Bible that most closely matches their personal beliefs, whatever they may be. And/or they "shop around" to find a church that most closely mateches what they believe.

This site will explore many of the ignored Bible passages. More will be added over time.

What the Bible Says
What Many Christians and Christian Churches Believe
"Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." (Luke 24:39) Appearing AFTER He was resurrected, Jesus had a "body of flesh and bones." For some strange reason he no longer has a body. Why did he have one at first and now it is gone? And, how will we see Him when He returns? If we do see Him, what will He look like? Many questions, no answers!
"Surely the Lord will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7) There are NO prophets on the Earth today and never will be again! God is not involved in running today's churches. They are not necessary.
"One Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Ephesians 4:5) Many faiths, each considered valid by their members and many other Christians. Many churches teach different doctrines from one another. Also, there are many doctrinal differences within individual churches. Each church decides how (or if) to perform baptisms.
"And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" (Ephesians 2:20) It is not necessary for Christ's church to be led by apostles and prophets, anyone will do.
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27) We do not look like God. Cannot describe what God looks like so we cannot have been created in His image.
"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:16-17) Believes in the Trinity, three persons in one. This passage clearly shows them to be three separate persons. Also note the mode of Jesus' baptism, immersion.
"But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God," (Acts 7:55) Another verse (of many) that shows that God and Jesus are separate, not believed by many Christians. How else could Jesus "stand on the right hand of God" if they are one and the same.
"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? / Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. / But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? / Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2:14;17-18; 7:11; 20-22; 24-26) All you need to do is "believe" and that is all that matters. Everyone who "believes" is going to heaven and to the exact same place. Works are not necessary. You can steal, rape, murder and otherwise sin to your heart's content and you will still be going to heaven and to the same place as those who don't commit heinous (or much less serious) sins. Is this just and fair? This Biblical chapter goes into great detail about works being important but many Christians ignore this. Instead they use other passages that imply works are not necessary. Those passages are speaking about "grace" which is granted to all.
"If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?" (Hebrews 7:11) This verse explains that there are two priesthoods, Levitical and Melchisedec, unknown to most Christians. Many don't even understand the concept of "priesthood." It is foreign to them.
"Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money," (Acts 8:15-18) Unknown to most Christians. Many do not believe that baptism is necessary and most have no idea about receiving the Holy Ghost and how it is done.
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:5) Many Christians do not believe baptism is necessary and that they must also be born of the Spirit (have no idea how this is accomplished - see above passage).
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." (John 15:16) Most Christian leaders have chosen themselves to lead (and/or to start their own churches). They have not been chosen by God. Also, they could not have been chosen by God because God does not speak today.
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2) "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead...." (1 Corinthians 15:40-42) Most Christians believe that all of those going to heaven are all going to the same place, all being equal. These passages clearly state that there is more than one glory (or place) in heaven.
"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;" (1 Peter 3:18-19) Why would Jesus preach to the spirits in prison? What was the point? They are all going to Hell anyway as they did not accept Jesus while on the Earth.
"Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?" (1 Corinthians 15:29) Unknown. Have no idea what this passage means. The passage seems to indicate that those who died not believing in (or hearing about) Christ have a chance to resolve this issue after they die but many Christians are steadfast that all non-believers are going to Hell.

This is only a small sample. As you can see, many Christians choose to ignore many Bible passages. IF they believe the Bible to be inerrent, they are ignoring these passages at their own peril in the hereafter.

Is there a church on the Earth today that does NOT ignore these (and many other) passages? YES there is! It is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Do NOT follow many preacher's statements to avoid this church. Many say that this church is NOT Christian but even a cursory examination of their doctrine will plainly show you otherwise. Many of those who tell you NOT to learn about this Church are worried that you just might find something that more closely matches the Bible (and they will lose your monetary contributions which fatten their paychecks).

IF you "sincerely" want to find God's ONE true church you will. It will be plainly obvious IF you have an open mind and pray about it. God will tell those who sincerely want to know and ask Him. Learn about this Church (ask its missionaries to teach you). Read the "Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ" and then ask God if it is true. If you sincerely want to know and ask God, He will confirm it. You don't have to take anyone else's opinion. Their missionaries will tell you this. If God tells you the Book of Mormon is true, the church is also true. We invite you to meet the missionaries. They will be happy to teach you about this church and answer your questions.

Have any questions right now? You can chat with a church representative.

Finally, are you married "til death do us part?" Would you like to be married to your spouse in heaven too? You can be. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can tell you how.

It is important to note that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not sponsor this site. It is independent.
